What to Look for When Choosing an Online Tutor
The questions worth asking before you trust someone with your child's learning.
An online tutor can make a big difference, but it is worth choosing carefully. These are the questions we suggest every parent asks.
- Are tutors identity verified and background checked before they work with children?
- Will my child work with the same tutor each time, so progress builds?
- Do sessions happen on a secure platform, rather than on outside apps?
- Will I hear what was covered after each session?
- Does the tutor work from my child's own schoolwork and goals?
- Are prices, rescheduling and cancellation clear before I sign up?
A trial or diagnostic session is a good way to see whether a tutor and your child work well together before committing to a plan.
